# Alarm signalling for installers

For fire and security installers, Signal Dynamic is a signalling unit that works with the panels you already fit, a portal that shows the state of every path at every site, and technical support direct from the people who build it.

## What it is used for

| Application | What Netavo provides |
| --- | --- |
| Intruder and hold-up alarms | Signal Dynamic Supervisor signalling to the alarm receiving centre |
| Fire detection and alarm systems | The same Supervisor unit and network |
| Sites moving off a copper line | A replacement fitted alongside the existing line, which is ceased only once every path is proven |
| CCTV and remote monitoring | Fibre and Ethernet access, or multi-network SIMs with private addressing, for cameras and recorders |
| A resilient connection for the site | Mobile failover alongside the fixed line |

## Fitting a Supervisor

### 01 Connect

Wire the Supervisor to the panel by dial capture, serial or its digital inputs, and connect the site's Ethernet, Wi-Fi and antennas for the paths in use.

### 02 Commission

Use the display and buttons on the unit to check each path, then prove a signal through to the alarm receiving centre.

### 03 Hand over

The site appears in the portal with the state of every path. The previous line is ceased only once the new service is proven.

## Works with the panel on the wall

A change of signalling should not mean a change of panel. A panel with a digital communicator connects by dial capture, in Fast Format, Contact ID or SIA. Panels with a serial port connect by RS232 or RS485, and any panel can be wired to the twelve digital inputs.

Which paths a site uses depends on what is available there. Ethernet and Wi-Fi use the site's own connection. The mobile paths use multi-network SIMs, so the unit is not tied to whichever mobile network happens to be strongest on the day of the survey.

- **Dial capture**: Fast Format, Contact ID, SIA
- **Serial**: RS232, TTL, RS485
- **Inputs and relays**: 12 inputs, 3 relays
- **Power**: 9 to 36 V DC

## Every site, in one portal

The portal shows each site you look after and the state of every path at it. When a path stops answering you are alerted, so a fault is a planned visit and not a discovery made during an alarm. Firmware and configuration are updated remotely, without a visit.

The portal can carry your own name and branding.

- **Path status**: Live, for every site
- **Alerts**: When a path fails
- **Updates**: Firmware and configuration, remotely
- **Branding**: Your own

## How to obtain it

Signal Dynamic is supplied to installers by accredited partner alarm receiving centres, usually together with their monitoring service. It is not sold to installers directly. If your alarm receiving centre is already a partner, ask them for it. If it is not, tell us which centre you use.

Technical support for installers comes directly from us, whichever centre supplies the service.
