# Fleet & Logistics

Netavo provides multi-network mobile data for telematics providers, fleet operators and logistics businesses in the UK and overseas. We connect vehicle and tracking equipment to the systems that use its data, with pooled allowances, private networking and fixed connectivity for depots and warehouses.

## What the sector requires

Vehicles and goods move between areas served by different mobile networks, and often across national borders. A connection designed around one depot does not describe the needs of a whole fleet. Telematics providers and logistics operators need to plan around the routes and countries they operate in, as well as the equipment fitted to each vehicle or asset.

Location and shipment data is commercially sensitive and increasingly processed in the cloud, so the route from the device to the platform matters as much as the device connection. Usage varies with reporting frequency and time on the road, and the estate changes constantly: new units need connections activated, and units removed from service need their SIMs suspended or ceased.

- **Coverage on the move**: More than one mobile network
- **Travel abroad**: Coverage planned around the countries served
- **Security**: Device data kept off the public internet
- **Cloud integration**: A private route into the platform receiving the data
- **Predictable cost**: Data pooled across the fleet
- **Management at scale**: SIMs managed as a fleet, not one at a time

## How we support it

Mobile and fixed connectivity for fleet and logistics operators, and services delivered for telematics and tracking partners.

| Requirement | How we meet it |
| --- | --- |
| Connectivity for tracking and telematics units | Multi-network SIMs and eSIMs, including industrial formats |
| Vehicles moving between UK network areas | Access to all four UK mobile networks on one SIM, with network selection policy set for the fleet |
| Vehicles and goods travelling abroad | Global multi-network access, with coverage agreed around the countries in the deployment |
| Keeping data private | Private addressing, with no public exposure of devices |
| Reaching cloud-hosted platforms | Private cloud interconnect into AWS or Azure |
| Reaching systems on your own network | An encrypted tunnel or connection to an existing corporate WAN |
| Monitoring goods in transit and storage | Private connectivity for your condition-monitoring devices |
| Depots and warehouses | Fibre and Ethernet access on the same private network, with mobile failover where required |
| Controlling data cost | Allowances per SIM or pooled across the fleet |
| Integration with your own platform | Activation, suspension and usage reporting through the portal or API |

## From vehicles and goods in transit to your platform

### Coverage follows the operating requirement

The design starts with where vehicles and goods travel and which mobile networks they can use. Multi-network SIMs can select another network when the first is unavailable. Coverage still needs to be considered for the operating area; multi-network access is not a promise of a signal at every location.

### A private route into your platform

A private SIM network can deliver traffic directly into a cloud environment or onto your own network. Devices do not need public addresses or individual encrypted tunnels. The destination of the data is agreed as part of the connection design, whether the platform is operated by the fleet or logistics business or by its technology partner.

### Mobile and fixed operations on one network

Depot and warehouse access can sit alongside device SIMs on one private network, so the design covers both assets in transit and the fixed locations that support them. Netavo provides the network service; tracking units, condition-monitoring devices and the software that interprets their data remain part of your own system.

## A typical engagement

A typical engagement begins with the tracking or telematics unit, its reporting pattern, the countries involved and the platform that receives the data. We agree coverage, data allowances and private addressing, then establish the route between the SIM network and the platform. Depot connectivity is included where fixed sites need access to the same private network.

SIMs are supplied inactive and activated as vehicles or devices enter service. The provider or operator manages connections and usage through the portal, or integrates those controls with its own systems through our API. Allowances are adjusted as the estate and its usage change, and SIMs are suspended or ceased when units are retired.

## Discuss a fleet or logistics requirement

Tell us about the equipment, the countries it operates in and where your systems are hosted. Include any depots that need fixed access. We will respond with coverage options, a recommended design and pricing.
