MPLS Network Provider: Private MPLS WAN for Business

Netavo builds private MPLS networks for organisations whose sites depend on each other. Every site joins one any-to-any Layer 3 MPLS VPN on our own core network, off the public internet, and the same private network can take in mobile failover, IoT SIM fleets, hosted voice, remote workers and your cloud.

One private network for every site

An MPLS WAN joins your sites into a single private routed network. Each site connects into Netavo's core, and traffic between sites travels across that core without ever touching the public internet. Every site can reach every other directly, as one Layer 3 VPN with your own addressing.

Because the core is ours, the routing, addressing and onward connections are designed around your requirement, and every circuit is monitored for latency and loss throughout its life.

  • Core networkOwned and operated by Netavo
  • Path between sitesPrivate, never the public internet
  • AddressingYour own, or designed with you
  • MonitoringLatency and loss on every circuit

Access for every kind of site

Each site joins the MPLS VPN over the access that suits it, and different sites can use different access types.

Access Speeds Suited to
Ethernet leased line 100M – 10G Head offices, datacentres and larger sites
On-net Ethernet 1G – 10G Sites within our existing footprint
Business FTTP Up to 2300M Branches and smaller sites
FTTC Up to 80/20 Sites not yet served by full fibre
Mobile 4G and 5G A second path for any site, or the only path where there is no line

What joins the same private network

An MPLS WAN from Netavo is not limited to fixed sites. Everything below sits inside the same VPN, so it reaches your systems privately.

Joins the VPN How it works
Mobile failover A site's 4G or 5G second path stays on the MPLS VPN, so a failover keeps the site on the WAN rather than dropping it onto the internet
IoT SIM fleets Devices, vehicles and remote equipment on Netavo SIMs reach central systems across the same private network
Hosted voice Netavo's hosted telephony carried on-net inside the MPLS, not across the internet
Remote workers Home and travelling users connect into the MPLS VPN by client VPN
Your cloud AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute and Google Cloud Interconnect joined to the VPN

Internet where you want it

Breakout How it works Suited to
Central All internet traffic leaves the MPLS through one controlled point in the core Organisations that want one place to apply security policy
Local Each site has its own internet access alongside the MPLS VPN Sites with heavy internet or cloud use of their own

Cloud on the same private network

Your AWS, Azure or Google Cloud environment can join the MPLS VPN like any other site. We connect through a cloud exchange to AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute or Google Cloud Interconnect, so traffic between your sites and the cloud never crosses the internet.

Why MPLS rather than SD-WAN

SD-WAN builds encrypted tunnels across ordinary internet connections and steers traffic between them. It can choose the better of two internet paths, but it cannot make either one private, predictable or accountable to a single provider, and it adds an appliance and a licence at every site.

An MPLS WAN keeps traffic between sites off the internet altogether, runs across one operator's network end to end, and needs nothing at a site beyond a suitable router. For organisations whose sites depend on shared systems and voice, we think it remains the better choice.

How an MPLS network is delivered

01

Design

We establish what is available at each address, agree addressing, breakout and the cloud and remote connections the network needs.

02

Deliver

Circuits are ordered and installed, with routers supplied and configured before despatch where required, or delivered to your own equipment.

03

Operate

Every circuit is monitored for latency and loss, so faults are identified and addressed proactively, and sites are added as the estate grows.

Common questions

Is Netavo an MPLS provider?

Yes. Netavo provides private MPLS WANs for multi-site organisations: any-to-any Layer 3 MPLS VPNs on its own core network, over Ethernet, FTTP, FTTC and mobile access.

What is an MPLS VPN?

An MPLS VPN is a private network built across a provider's MPLS core, keeping each customer's traffic separate from every other and from the internet. Netavo's MPLS VPNs are any-to-any Layer 3 VPNs, so every site can reach every other directly.

Can mobile failover stay on the MPLS network?

Yes. With Netavo, a site's 4G or 5G second path joins the same MPLS VPN, so a failover keeps the site on the private network.

Can AWS, Azure or Google Cloud join our MPLS network?

Yes. Netavo connects through a cloud exchange to AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute and Google Cloud Interconnect, joining your cloud environment to the MPLS VPN.

Can remote workers connect to the MPLS?

Yes. Home and travelling users can connect into a Netavo MPLS VPN by client VPN.

Where does internet access come from on an MPLS WAN?

Either centrally, from one controlled point in Netavo's core, or locally at each site alongside the MPLS VPN. The choice is made per network.

Does Netavo offer SD-WAN?

No. Netavo provides private MPLS WANs, which it considers the better choice for organisations whose sites depend on shared systems and voice.

Can I resell Netavo MPLS?

Yes. Netavo partners resell MPLS WAN under their own brand, with a white-label portal, an availability and quote API and their own billing.
